The Snake River School District is first in the nation to develop a summer school Farm Plot Class. Currently eight acres of land produce Idaho Burbank Potatoes, Idaho Soft White Wheat and Idaho Feed Corn.

Freshman through Senior Students can enroll in this class. Students can earn Science and Professional Technical Credit towards high school graduation. Led by teacher JB Hoge, students are learning soil science, plant science and chemical science in relation to Idaho Burbank Potatoes, Idaho Soft White Wheat, and Idaho Feed Corn. Partnerships for the class include: Van Orden Farms, Doyle Hawker Farms and Crop Consulting Services.
